Back to normal

Well, after had that normal dinner last night, both of us felt a bit juice withdraw. That sounds a bit weird, doesn't it!

Anyway, we had to try to stay on the course but still a much needed carb intake has taken us to Costco for a slice of pizza. Man that was the best pizza I have ever had in a long time. By the way, the cost of that slice was only 2 bucks.

That night, we didn't want to break it because of the pizza lunch. Thus veggie and fruits again.

Anyway, I forgot to mention that I have started my daily 3 mile walk several days ago. The entire walk is a up/down hill exercise. We live on a semi hill side over Laguna. There are many beautify trails and parks around here. The closed and easiest one is one I have been taking. The start is a up hill walk which can elevate my heart beat rate up to 135 bpm. That part usually takes around 20 minutes to complete. It is a good exercise and indeed helps increase the circulation of my body for sure.

Again, I did that walk after dinner. By the way on the same day, we all together did a 5 mile hike along the Aliso Summit trail. Miah was good enough to keep up with our pace. What a great workout we all had that day.

Thursday was a busy day for us. Originally my wife planned to take Miah to the Disney land as usual but since we were going to see a doctor on Friday at a very early time then we decided to just take it easy for the day by running some errands for this weekend's party. Well, the lunch was kind of good. We had an Indian buffet over by Irvine. The name of that place is called Annapoorna. The food was very good and gladly they didn't charge Miah since she is under 3 and perhaps looks a bit taller.

day 8 - Dinner is served

Well, from breakfast to late afternoon snacks, we only had juices. However after they both got back from Disney Land, I decided to make a normal dinner for all. Because I really did feel like some real food instead. After lost 8lbs, I believe it is time to treat us well.

Dinner: Fried spring beans, Korean BBQ beef, Seaweed egg soup and Rice.

That was a very good dinner. Everybody loved it.

The blood pressure went back up again, that sucks. But I believe that was due to the stress of work that I had today.

I will measure it again tomorrow.

By the way, the kid had a good time at Disney land.... That was their second time visiting in one week. We are trying to get our money worth spending this time.

day 7 - We had to break it again

Well, I didn't have that much sleep last night and felt pretty bad in the morning, but no headaches at all.

As usual, we had our breakfast and lunch with juices. In the afternoon, I had gone on a 3 mile hike alone. That hike was pretty tough because 50% of the road is uphill and nearly 45 degrees. Down hill part wasn't that bad but kind of odd to my legs.

While, the dinner was another break to us because we both felt really starving and craving for some carbs especially rice. The decision was made. We cooked one cup of Japanese rice and ate it with the Korean seasoned seaweed just liked the sushi style. Man, that was really good indeed.

The decision of that was based on a very careful measurement on the nutrition facts on the food.

Let's see what's gonna happen...

day 6 - The break

OK, we all need a small break after 5 days of juice fasting.

A home made hotpot was served @5pm. That wasn't tasted as good as we expected. We were kind of missing the taste of the juices that we had in the past 5 days.

It is decided that we are going stay a 4 day fasting and 3 day break type of routine to see how we feel from the 15th of July.

I measured my blood pressure in the afternoon which was the usual time where I had my highest level. But the result of the measurement was nearly back to normal with taking the med for 5 days. That really surprised me and in other hand encouraged me a great deal of keep going with this juicing thing.

Anyway, I will be back to the fast tomorrow until the 15th of July and hopefully that I can officially get off the meds.

Day 5 - The longest day

We need to go out for some work out to test how the juices can hold us up.

Our decision is to take the kid to Disney land! What a challenging decision that was!

@1pm, we arrived at the ticket office. The annual passes were purchased after a near 45 minute discussion on the terms and conditions.

We brought two bottles of juices that we made before we left which can be held for at least 3 hours. We didn't know how powerful these juices will keep us moving for that day but we are gonna try it to see the extremes.

It was somewhat 90 degrees under the sun and we had no water but these two bottles of juices. Miah, my daughter had her usual meals and drinks for sure otherwise she would be dead.

We stayed until the fireworks finished which was 945pm. In 6 hours plus, we had drunk these 2 bottles and plus a power size of all fruits & Veggies blend from Jamba Juice. That thing held me up until 11pm.

My wife couldn't stay with the empty stomach and @830pm, she took 4 chicken legs to eventually stay alive. She told me after finishing up the chicken "That was way too delicious".

In 12 hours I only had two juices and didn't feel exhausted at all.

The power of the greens!

Day 4 - feeling good

Well, I have to say that I am feeling much better and more energetic ever.

The breakfast and lunch are usual. Still no solid food at all for the whole day.

The blood pressure kept at the same level as while I was on meds. That is a very good sign.

Day 3 - The first day of feeling better

Well, believe me or not I am feeling much better now. 1lb reduced from my mass.

Breakfast and Lunch are as usual, the fruit juice for the morning and veggies for the lunch.

This afternoon, I had two water melon juices.

The whole day was busy with writing essays.....
